The new thing in the Smith house hold is adding the suffix "imitez" to the end of nearly every word. This is an annoying habit that really gets old, but we can't seem to help it. In the past, we've added "sh" or "ez" to the end of our words. For example:
Micah: "What are you guys up to today?"
Kelley: "We're going to the park-imitez."
See? Its completely ridiculous. If anyone ever tried to bug our house, they wouldn't have too much luck understanding our speech, so I guess its good for security reasons.
This habit has invaded out adoption terminology, changing words such as "dossier" to "dossier-imitez", ect.
So recently, we completed the majority of the notarizing of our dossier documents. We were able to get it all done at church with all of our reference-writers in one place because Beth, a notary at our church, offered to help us out. You don't get any more convenient than that! You can imagine the nightmare it could be to run all over the state getting all the letters from doctors, friends, pastors, employers, and local police notarized. Its insane. I really should have taken a picture of the stack of papers we signed, it was like signing a mortgage!
So we are so thankful to have most of our documents notarized and ready for the home study to be completed. We're hoping to send it all out to Ethiopia sometime in January.......imitez.
